The Type 100 is a Japanese sub-machine gun featured in two Zombies maps in Call of Duty: World at War and two revised World at War maps in Call of Duty: Black Ops.
The Type 100 can be obtained by the wall, the Mystery Box, and Console Commands. It has a relatively high rate of fire, moderate recoil, and moderate power. Like all other sub-machine guns, minus the PPSh-41, the Type 100 is mostly a fall-back weapon because of its lower powwer (when compared to other weapons). However, it can be used effectively to get headshots and rack up points and kills. This is also why the Type 100 is compared to the Thompson in statistics and performance.
The Pack-a-Punched Type 100 becomes "1001 Samurais," possessing more ammunition and higher power. Because of this, it can be used for a longer bit of time. It is good for going for headshots, and like the STG-44, is best when clearing a straight line of zombies. Even though it is identically similar to the Thompson in performance, the Thompson can still be used in times when the Type 100 becomes ineffective, such as round 20 and beyond.
